Yeah me too...At 8 am I had to rescue a guy in a 125ft Genie Boom because his limit switches on his main boom were acting up in the early morning dew.
It was a little shakey when he crossed over to my basket at 125 feet up...and I hadnt had my earl grey, hot milk, one sugar yet. :icon34:

Deal with it.

I've got four projects spiraling towards impending doom and there is nothing I can do about it but listen to the constant bitching from both ends.....

I laid off three people yesterday. I felt very shitty doing that, because they were excellent people who did excellent work. :(

I ordered the firing of three people last week. But that didn't bother me at all, because the loser couldn't find their way to work more than 3 days a week.

The quality of the work-force in Florida is really going to shit.

Laying off people who do a great job, need the job, and who are very good people in general, is very difficult. I would have no problem laying off people who need to have evolution run its course on them.

True...

We need people so badly that it's almost impossible to let anyone go, but you've got to do what you've got to do.

Not my fault at all. I just have to deal with an outcome that is beyond my control. Sounds kind of unfair, but life isn't fair.

My problems stem from general contractors that drags their feet through the enitre job, basically letting other trades dictate the pace. Then when the project reaches the scheduled deadline date, the GC comes screaming to us about manpower.

There are many other variables that facter into this equation, but I'm not going to waste my time explaining them to someone who is obviously making a lame attempt at being a fuck head.

you have to motivate or replace those contractors. you also should mediate between the different tradespeople if scheduling disputes arise
