WARNER BROS. PICTURES AND THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY ANNOUNCE
WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP ON TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES’ CGI MOVIE

http://www.ninjaturtles.com/html/forum.htm

I can't wait. I hope it's like a mixture of the comic and the cartoon this time, complete with the retro intro. (In case you didn't know, the TMNT comic ruled the planet. It was really dark. In fact, I think Raph lost his hand.)

When the evil Shredder attacks these turtle boys don't cut him no slack.

why would this be better than live-action? i thought they did a pretty good job on the costumes and shit in the original movies--granted i watched it years ago but it looked cool.

That pic doesn't seem to be from the cgi movie.

thats because the new cartoon/comic (?) has a really weird blocky/warped style to it.

Hmm it seems it actually is. http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0453556/ ... ey=0453556

Weird although it's dark and moody it seems to be a bit off.

judging from that pic, i'd say it's the real thing then. It is darker there, but... well, we don't know when each shot was taken necessarily, so the engine is still probably out of whack, and the setups/lighting and all that are probably not final in one of them. maybe even not final in either.

Nothing wrong at all.

The Shredder is really the only one that looks exactly like his original comic concept.

The main problem with CG in films is that they use shots that would be impossible to get with real cameras.

Spider-Man pushed it a little bit, but because the environment looked so real it wasn't so distracting.

The Matrix looked like garbage, not only because the models were complete crap and rigged horribly, but because the cameras were set up by the same clowns who watched Dragonball Z.
