Heat wave kills 18 in Phoenix

Post by +JuggerNaut+ »

mostly homeless<--click

weird thinking that i go run out in this stuff and people are dying. almost makes me feel bad.

this bit from the article got a chuckle:
The number of illegal immigrants killed by heat-related illnesses while trying to cross the desert are counted separately.

i actually volunteer twice a month at the homeless veteran's shelter. not saying that's enough, but it's something.

it's 2:45 pm here and 20 degrees. That's a good thing since clients sweat like oxes before I draw blood from their veins.

with coughing you'll raise your intra-abdominal pressure and you can detect early herniae.

but he probably likes your dangling ballz

LOL, that's nothing. It's going to reach 115 in a few hours, and it's not even the hot part of summer yet.

The first deaths were reported Saturday. By Wednesday, the high still climbed to 109 degrees (43 degrees celcius).

Vegas is miles away from death valley, the temperature difference is very small. Two days ago it got to 115 F/46 C

It's been advised to stay inside if possible. Most car A/C units aren't capable of cooling the insides down.

Death Valley is in Nevada, NOT Arizona.

(By the way, this RealVideo looks like typical local news channel BS, but the channel itself is beautiful in HDTV, believe it or not.)
