I rarely go see movies with girls anyway - not much of a date if you ask me (at least with the shit they show nowadays).
I did the same thing. Most of the women I dated didn't really like going to the theater. They were more into restaurants.

There's nothing wrong with spending some money on a woman. But you still shouldn't date shallow people. :icon32:

Last time I went to see a movie (batman begins), there were over TWENTY FUCKING MINUTES of commercials and previews.

90% of the previews were for superhero movies, some of which were just fucking stupid.

This is after paying over $13 to see the movie in the first place. I don't have a problem viewing commercials if they're meant to subsidize the entertainment costs, but ffs...

That's real nice, DC. They don't have anything like that here, unfortunately.

I don't feel too bad movie hopping once in awhile, as yesterday it was $7 for a matinee price ticket each.

personally, I don't really tend to date girls who usually wouldn't mind buying thier own shit -- usually we'll go half/half on pretty much everything except gifts (obviously), and girls that are more interested in me, instead of the shit I buy them.

It's good, because I end up relationships where we genuinely enjoy eachother's company, which is a huge win-win.

Yeah, in my day that kind of money would get you a round, two packets of pork scratchings and a rimjob. And we still had enough for the cab home! Mutter mutter mutter *has a stroke*
