I grew up watching french dubbed mangas like Goldorak, Dragon Ball, Kenshiro, etc. I hardely watched the shows mentioned above exept for Transformers and Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.
Thankfully Sundays are slow and there aren't many people here to see the site anyway. Chicks for avatars have been done to death by nerds that can't get laid anyway.

The Rock was a classic, and Bay did some interesting things with the Bad Boys franchise, but he's still not a good director.
Spielberg's just producing, so he may not have the input you're imagining.
Obviously there's no way to know without seeing a trailer, but just based on the idea of making a live-action transformers film, I think this is gonna be pretty bad.
