Blog services ?

Post by Iccy (temp) »

Im going to start up a blog or something and was looking for suggestions.

Basicly what i want to do is chronical my workout process. I m going to start with pics of how flabby awnd crappy i look now and make like a journal where people can watch and feedback my process of getting more fit and other things i improve on. I dont want to worrry about making a site and updating it, pretty much just want this to be as hands free as possible.

The idea is that ill have something in the future to look back on and give myself assurance that i can do it and also i plan on writing a book about my life at some point so i want to have a place i can look back on and draw info from. Also i think a few of my friends would want to offer words of encouragement as i move down my path and stuff like that.

So, any tools or whatever anyone can think of?

Well if you're successful that will be awsome and if you're not people will laugh at your foolish fat ass.

on one hand, you have your livejournal, greatestjournal (and to a lesser extent deadjournal) which all run on the same software and would suit your needs, except that the community tends to be a great deal more juvenily and immature than you'd probably like.

other sites that are closer to what you might want would be blogger, or blogspot

I've set up a couple of BlogCMS blogs. php and css + mySQL, fully customizable and comes with a forum, a wiki and a photo gallery. It's worked great for me.
