Fair play to Rowling. She struck it lucky, but they also happen to be very good books, and you have to admire her. Out of the 5 Potter books I have read so far there hasn't been one dull page.
I think anybody browsing the internet will likely see it mentioned some where or another. It's best to stay off the internet until you find out yourself.

it's sad. there are three giant bookstores in oxford (borders, waterstones & blackwells) and this avo they still had stacks of the half-blood prince. i think it's a cache thing, like having a pirate dvd of a movie before it's even hit the theatre, usually with the silhouette of some pakistani guy getting up to leave at the end

That's quite not legitimate. It's not like she is the only person who profits from the book. And even if she was, its still a bad reason.
the book's currently lying on my bed. Too bad I have two midterms next week to deal with and then got only a week to read it until I have to give it to my mum as she's returning to the mid east then.
ahhh... geology. I've taken it twice. Got a D the first time because I didn't give a fuck and failed it the 2nd time because I just stopped going about 6 years ago. Third time's a charm in the spring
