Michelle Wie (golf)
Michelle Wie (golf)
This girl is rolling in the US publinx, making it to the quarterfinals against a very, very strong field of male amatuers. 15 year old girl...300+ yard drives. 3 more match play wins in this tournament and she gets an invite to the master's. And she's going to be tougher each round. I would say that what she may do in golf could be more amazing than Tiger's feats (in a certain sense...)

i saw an interview with her plus the parents last year. she seems very down to earth and enjoys shopping more than golfing.
quite impressive and yes, she could very well beat tigers feats. also the fact she is quite attractive will help in her getting lots of exposure.

i never meant to give you mushrooms girl
She's very impressive. Should dominate later on!
Morgan Pressel intrigues me too, she's two years older, but she's been playing in the US Open since whe was in 7th grade
Wie wants to get the automatic invitation to the Masters, which alot of people are saying could be a lightening rod subject.
I personally don't thik she'll win, but I think if she does, that they'll still let her play the Masters because that shouldn't affect wether they let women become members.
What do you thin TNF?

Yea, if she wins, the traditional invite to the masters will really become a hot topic.
As for Augusta allowing women members...this might sound bad, but I don't think they should have to...they are a private establishment, and have the freedom to establish their own membership criteria. Now, I think they SHOULD allow women members, but I don't think, legally, they HAVE to.

I don't think they should have too either. They do still have womens day every week where women get to playtnf wrote:Yea, if she wins, the traditional invite to the masters will really become a hot topic.

Still, the hot subject is that Hootie would not let Michelle play even if she wins the amature. I think in that instance he would, because well, she won. And it should'nt affect club membership either way.
The girl in any case is impressive, beating a Auburn college grad 1up is no small feat!
