Stem Cell Injection Allows Man to Walk Again
Nah, just pressure. There's reflex arcs, and the legs are under less direct control than the arms - the pyramidal tracts, for example, mostly go to the arms, and they're the ones which make direct connections from the motor cortex. The lower spinal cord levels have their own intrinsic motor patterns, which are fundamental components of normal gait (allowing you to walk and chew gum at the same time); you can set these off by pressure on the soles of the feet in some spinal patients.R00k wrote:With electro shock or something?

Yeah I've seen stuff like that before, maybe not the exact same thing but similar. This chick wore a belt that basicly enabled her to stand up during her wedding even though she was handicapped. Worked with electricity I beleive. I'm hoping though that what I think happened actualy has happened with this guy though, it'd be great news for a lot of people.
