What's everyone's ISP of choice in the UK?
I'm intending to get a dedicated line for myself for this year, and since the main reason I went with ZenADSL last year is because they give you 5 usable IPs, I don't need them this year, and they're fairly expensive it seems.
I'm not averse to cable although I'd much prefer ADSL. I'd like a better upload speed than 256k and this doesn't seem possible on ADSL so if cable providers can do a connection with good upload, I'll go for that.
12 month contract is no problem, but a bandwidth cap is a big no-no.
Any recommendations?

indeed
hugely infact
Its gone down once for 3 hours since i have had it (over 6 months now) and i get 240k a sec downloads from website with good bandwidth and average about 70 - 80 k a sec on torrents. 250 meg webspace and great customer service line if you need it.
I would recommend them dude

Faster uploads are coming in November for everyone on ADSL, something like 512Kbits. Your line will also sync at max speed it can support (8mbits down if you live real close to an exchange, it gets slower the more copper between you and the exchange).
ADLS2+ trials are also running now, 24Mbits down, but don't expect to get on that when it goes live unless you live near a big city.
Dunno what the cable ops are planning, best checking BY/NTL sites..
I'm on Eclipse 2mbit btw. No caps, free static IP (up to 4 or 8 static IPs if you wish and can justify the need for them), £29.99/mo. Webspace is a shitty 20mb or something tho. Monthly contract too. I'm not too sure but I think they've got free migrations on right now.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
