I just started reading them (am on the 4th book now). I probably wont get it and just borrow it from someone in the meantime. I'll buy the books when they all come out in a boxset.

I think I'll go to Barnes and Noble for the launch party. There will be live owls and stuff there. Might be interesting.

how many of the books have you read?

if you read them and didnt like them, that's cool. if youre hating to just hate, then youre a retard.

thats cool that you actually read the 1st book. before reading the 4th though, you would definitely need to read the previous ones IMO. i would suggest reading the 2nd one. if you dont like it, then i guess you should give up on it. its not too long and shouldnt take more than 2-3 days to finish.

its nice to get into something while its still in its run IMO (while all the books are still coming out). if you get into them after they come out (say 1, 2, 10, 50 years from now), you kind of miss out. might as well give it a shot now.

i think the 4th book starts off a bit wordy with the whole Quidditch World Cup and what not. if youre not into the whole Harry Potter thing by then, it might be kind of annoying and tiresome to read book 4 (atleast in the beginning).

edit: therefore i recommend reading the books in order :)
