I have no experience with satellite, one time I wanted to get it because my other provider got a cap but I had to upload via 56k and download via satellite. Which is crap basically because then I need to get another phoneline.
How are the speeds on this one and I'm guessing upload/download is via the same pipeline.

Dlink routers are horrible.
My D-Link is great, never had any problems with it.
Most routers support PPPoE as far as I know, we use PPPoA here, yet my router and everyone elses I've setup has PPPoE on too.

I think I'll upgrade to either the latest modem or buy another brand.
I have the Speedtouch 580 since 10 months or so. It's a great WIFI ADSL Router modem. With 4 LAN ports and many 802.11g WLAN connections.

Personally, I found them to be quite reliable and full featured .

I have an 8 port router. Don't really have the need for wireless at the moment, but that would be something for future use.

It's nice they got a lot of stuff, but I wish you could just choose the channels you want instead of packages because it seems there is only 1 or 2 that are good in each one.

Well I thought I'd try and just hook my comp directly to the modem and do a speed test.
It didn't make a difference so my router isn't causing and load.
