I found another kickass movie at Blockbuster. This movie was created by a french comic book creator Enki Bilal. It was one of the first 4 movies to cast real actors into an entirely digital set (the others are Casshern, Sin City, and Sky Captain).
The story is pretty original. Horus, an egyptian god, comes back to Earth in 2095 and has to inpregnate a specific woman before his immortality expires. However, the reason to watch the movie isn't for the story, it's for the art. This has to be one of the coolest, most beautiful movies I have ever seen. Every few minutes there was something new worthy of a "holy shit dude". Some parts of the CG kinda suck but there are other parts that are just amazing. The live actor's costume design is just plain amazing.
I highly, highly, highly, recommend checking this out.

Immortel
To me it's not so much a movie as a work of art. This is something CG/Machinema/DeviantArt people would love but mainstream wont understand. I'll take some screenshots of some of my favorite scenes when I get a chance.Pext wrote:hm... critics said it was mediocre.
still. bilal made it - and he definately is one of europes top drawers. :icon14:
