yeah and i'm pretty sure this has been the plan all along...perpetual conflict means more control and power for leaders..
a defining attribute of a government is that it has a monopoly on the legitimate exercise of violence...

Yea I quoted this yesterday in the 'foxnews out of control' thread to show RiffRaff what a great job Bush has done, as well as to show him what an idiot O'Reilly was for saying that the USA has nothign to do with the current problem...funny how the guy who headed teh CIA's bin laden unit disagrees with O'Reilly -
"Scheuer, who headed the CIA’s bin Laden unit for nine years, sees a different way out — through U.S. foreign policy. He said he resigned last November to expose the U.S. leadership’s “willful blindness” to what needs to be done: withdraw the U.S. military from the Mideast, end “unqualified support” for Israel, sever close ties to Arab oil-state “tyrannies.”

He acknowledged such actions aren’t likely soon, but said his longtime subject bin Laden will “make us bleed enough to get our attention.” Ultimately, he said, “his goal is to destroy the Arab monarchies.”

The former CIA guy is one of these anti-American leftist taxachussets liberal pricks, of course.

MAYBE Bush & Co. are actually doing this stuff on purpose... You see, for years we've just been stroking slowly and slowly, but now they're jacking really fast trying to reach the O. They're going to go so conservative that they'll turn off the conservatives, turning everyone into a liberal, how humanity should be.
