Dsconnects about 20ish times a day.
They won't do anything about it, because they don't see a problem with it on their end
So we are also yanking our cable service also and going with Bell Express Vu.

I have no idea I never tried the 624, but the 604 was flawless. Are you sure you didn't disable the auto-disconnect if idle setting?

Linksys is good too but has had serious security flaws and doesn't always works with games or msn. But I hear they have fixed that.

Yeah but you have a 60 GB cap, that's upload and download together. So how much can you really download? And they are threatening people of legal action because once you are over 60 GB they look at what you have been doing and most of the time people are downloading warez. :o

Default settings on older d-link's have a 300 second disconnect if you are not active, you should of set it to 0 (zero means no disconnect) and enabled auto reconnect (will auto reconnect if disconnected) :)

oh i know man, i meant that i did both ways, but default was where i FIRST noticed it. no matter what, it would do it eventually.

i read alot about the Dlinks having heat issues, so after the second one, i gave up.

I guess yours was bad then or the model was bad, I had one problem with mine. I once connected a wrong power cable to it and pretty much killed it. Good thing I had warranty.

It's possible you never reached or they didn't warn you but I'm pretty sure that rogers had put a cap on everyone. There is a bunch of people posting threads of being kicked off rogers for downloading too much and threatened. I download all the time and I only get like 45-50 gb a month.
