You may ask but I frankly can't go into much detail (for proprietary reasons). It is an analysis of the concept of evidence as applied in the contexts of social/physical scientific practice. The thesis is currently being winnowed down into something more specific---but the preliminary reading/writing has been going on for a little over a year now. This topic doesn't really have much of a primary literature, but the ancillary literatures that I have to get current on are massive, impenetrable, and sometimes annoying as a motherfucker.HM-PuFFNSTuFF wrote:may I ask what you're doing your dissertation on?Hannibal wrote:My current 'job' is getting my dissertation finished sometime before the sun goes nova.
i teach English in japanese govt schools.
about 90% of my time is spent in a junior high school, the other 10% if split between 3 elementary schools and a kindergarten.
about half my day is spent sitting in the PC room preparing lessons and making lesson reports (scratching my sack and looking at shit online)
working for a govt school isnt a well paid as working for a private language school, but its about a million times easier.
I also have a few private students in the evening

I'm an IT Manager and run a few networks (which basically adds up to way too much time staring at a monitor). A partner and I are also working on starting a couple of companies over the next two years. The first is going to be a network solutions company and the second involves imports. It keeps me occupied

Im a manager at a small local PC sales/repairs shop.
Our average customer are middle aged fat blokes who buy shitloads of blank DVD's and cases, and they comlpain when we charge £1 more for dvd's than the internet. I hate pirates :icon33: .
Our average repair recently are WinXP PC's with 5 or 6 user accounts on it, each of which are absolutely infested with spyware, £20 for a cleanup £30 for a format if needed. Easy tax free earner :icon32: .
From what ive seen in the 4 and a half years ive been working here, people need to earn a fucking license to own a computer, dickheads everywhere :icon33: .
Sorry for being pissed off, it's Saturday morning, and im working till 4 & I need beer :icon23:
