I have both the Logitech mx518 and the Razer Diamondback Plasma. That's right, I'm rich. Any questions?
Anyway, I prefer the Razer, to be honest. If you're a fingertip-gripping player, the Razer is definitely better. If you're a full-contact-hand player, the 518 might suit you better. Since the Razer is significantly smaller than the 518, and since it's also designed with a symetrical shape, the Plasma fits my style better.
And, in the end, the Razer drivers are far, far better than the new SetPoint drivers that the 518 requires. They're more customizable, more stable, and time proven.
Also, the Diamondback Plasma has the _slight_ edge over the 518 technilogically because of its infrared tech.
