Otaku No Video or End of Evangelion
i agree with juggernaut.+JuggerNaut+ wrote:no, i caught the fairytale bits, but other than Eddie Murphy, i found the movie unfunny. i'm in the minority on this i know, but that's my thought.saturn wrote:You totally missed the numerous humerous jabs at fairytales then. I dunno what movies you're referring to, but at that time Shrek was purdy good looking and maybe one of the best at that time.
cool. i was merely asking if you watch non animated flicks. i know a couple of guys that are so into anime, they rarely watch a live action film. thanks for replying.Chupacabra wrote:absolutely+JuggerNaut+ wrote:do you even watch other genres?Chupacabra wrote:hm...
Otaku No Video or End of Evangelion
but a couple of things:
(1) i tend not to buy many movies at all. i figure ill just rent them because (a) i wont watch the movies that much and (b) a better version on hd-dvd or blu-ray or whatever the next greatest thing will come out sometime or later if its a collection i am particularly interested in (like the LOTR series). (c) if i really want to watch something LOTR extended, i can just borrow it from my girlfriend. not really necessary to buy it for just myself.
(2) i dont really care too much about the difference between a movie at a theatre and a dvd. theres a group of people out there that are crazy about dvds...not simply movies...but dvds. me, i dont really care too much so the whole omg dvd kollektion stuff never appealled to me greatly.
(2) i very, very much enjoy Otaku No Video. i've only seen it in dvd form--never in theatres, computer files, vhs, or laser disc.
(3) i enjoy End of Evangelion because (a) it kicks ass (b) the dvd menu is beautifully well done (c) it was a gift from a good friend [and i tend to cherish gifts i get more than something i buy for myself]
So basically thats it. Now if the question were whats your favourite movie, that would be something else.
Pixar does this almost perfectly everytime.Chupacabra wrote:also a lot of people admire something when it appeals to both children and adults. .+JuggerNaut+ wrote:no, i caught the fairytale bits, but other than Eddie Murphy, i found the movie unfunny. i'm in the minority on this i know, but that's my thought.saturn wrote:You totally missed the numerous humerous jabs at fairytales then.
