What's your favorite movie in your DVD collection?

Post by R00k »

I've been trying to get a few more movies in my collection lately. I've added Fight Club, Old School, Fear and Loathing (Criterion Edition), Reservoir Dogs, The Princess Bride (go ahead, call me a woman, I love it), Super Troopers, and a few others.

I tried to find The Usual Suspects last night, but had no luck in 3 different stores. This is one of my all-time favorites, so I'll find it somewhere.

Anyway, I've still got a few more to add to my collection, but when I go to the store I have a hard time remembering all the ones I was looking for.

What are some of you guys' faves in your collections that I might be overlooking or just plain forgotten about?

Give me some good ones. :icon32:

You should see the Criterion version (if that's not the one you have).

It's got tons of footage and interviews of Hunter. That bastard was supremely crazy when he was younger.

At one point he was on a trip, and one of the guys working with him couldn't get him out of his room. When he finally let them in, he had his face covered with white makeup and was completely freaking out. He had to have been on an acid trip or something, lol.

I tried to find good Pink Floyd and Stevie Ray concert DVD's last night as well. Didn't look anywhere but Borders for them though - I'm sure a music store will have a much better selection.

Can't believe I haven't thought of this one. :o

Didn't recognize any of your others aside from Heat and Private Ryan, which are okay, but I never really thought were that great.

What? It's funny, especially the effects.

Office Space & Total Recall would be good for the collection (and Predator now that you mention it). :icon14:

But Schindler's List as one of your favorites? Wow man. :o

I was pissed of to no end when i found out that that version is only available in US DVD format (which my DVD player does not support). I would absolutely love to see it, but to buy a whole new player for it when my old one works fine...

But yeah, it's on the very top of my 'films to buy when i get my hands on better technology some time in the future' list. :)
