if i could afford a american muscle i would get one..but i only had like 5,000 to start out with..i don't like people who put mad decals and vynils on their car and don't even have intake. when i first got mine i did engine work first (intake, hetters etc) but not much..then i dropped it a few inches found some clear taillights and eyelids and a cap for the muffler. thats all im doin for the looks. when i get more money im doin alot more engine work..then imma start racin and when i get enough to get a american muscle imma get one

2) Judging by how long the speedometer took to get to 140 (Spraying and turboed) the car is stock! SCC tested the exact cars used in F&F and sadly they ran slower than stock models due to all that piece of shit heavy sprayed fiberglass body kits on neons hanging out of em.

Now....everyone that knows cars like Boostedpimp can vouch for me on this. I didnt BS that previous paragraph. Boosted's car is a pickup and it would rape any and all cars that were featured on F&F. Most the riceboys dont even know what a syclone is.

Jap cars are cheap, easy to get ahold of. I drive a Grand Am GT because i can't afford something really nice or whatever. But thats fine with me. I take what i can get and do with what i can. It seems like you are all hating on F&F ricers, and I would have to agree. But please don't stereotype people by what they drive! I was called a ricer by one of my friends because I drive an Integra. By definition, this is wrong. I dyno'ed at 187hp to the wheels, ALL MOTOR (beyotch!)!!! It doesn't sound like much to the american muscle guys, but in the tiny little car with a 1.8L motor, thats pretty damn good! And I'm not cheating with "Naws"....
It wasn't until a lady at starbucks backed into me that I had the cash to get a custom paint job and to buy a pair of nice seats, and I only got the racing seats because I AutoX my car and I wanted something better than stock! I put coil-overs on Koni Yellow's, added strut braces front and back, 24mm rear sway bar, polyurethane bushings all around, not because its "cool", but because I USE it! I was all go before show, and I have been doing this since WAY before that F&F movie!!!
It was that movie (along with APC) that made the idiots who they are. I laugh when a Neon or Cavalier rev's on me because they think I'm just another shit-box with a loud exhaust. I give them a rev back, and let them take off from the light and drive like an idiot, and I just laugh the whole time, because they think they are "winning", when they could never get close to being as quick as me... but I never race on the streets. Its illegal and just plain stupid. If you want a battle, go to the track and AutoX. There will be people there that will put you in your place, and you can see how you stack up agains REAL drivers.... Drag racing is for fast cars, AutoX is for fast DRIVERS!!!

LOL HALF A MILLION FOR A FEW RICERS! LOL! Granted some of the very high end tuner S2000s and such can cost alot, but nowhere near a half a million, but paint, wheels, wings, and fartcans are cheap. Hondas are cheapass cars. End of discussion. Rice all looks and sounds the same......It's hard to even tell the expensive ones from the cheaply done ones. I'd venture to say $20,000 a pop for cheap civics and the like, if not less. They don't need any performance parts to be in a movie, just cosmetic. The Supra, Skyline, and RX7 are the only expensive cars.......



BTW, strictly doing auto X is for cars that are too slow at everything else.......My friend's teg is good at it, but it'll lose to a jeep in a straight line......the car is only fun to drive if you push it on public roads on turns, to the point where you can easily crash....and he already has lol. Saying your 16 second ricer has good handling is a crutch for being pathetic. Why don't I tow a go kart in my camaro, destroy you in a straight line towing it, then take the go kart around the cones and own you.......Or maybe learn to drive with a few suspension mods on the car itself and come out close at least.......

I work on mostly euros and americans but sometimes my friends will bring me there imports to work on. some imports are very nice with a functional body kit and spoliler, a good maintained engine with power to match the looks,
but sometimes you got got imports that you want to fuckin beat the car into a million and one pieces cause they so ugly. i seen cut off mufflers, body kits held on with zip ties, expensive racing seats welded to the floor, one guy came in and said his car would not start i looked at it lights every ware, tvs, sound system that would blow out every window from here to japan, this guy spliced his battery cable like 30 times with wires every ware. all the lights he wanted but no juice to start the car.

B/C the subaru is ugly as fuck, so why not get a nicer car that's faster if you can afford it. The vette has more potential as is, as you can go all motor, forced induction, or nitrous. I don't want to drive a car that looks like it came out of a cracker jack box.

WRX=$25000 after taxes, friend just got one. you're thinking STi. You're right, jap cars are moving towards the future. You used to have lots of room under the hood to mess with the engine, now its all computer controlled and electrical. car-bur-e-tor? me confused. no understand. yes, its a very ugly ass R34 skyline, whoever owns doesn't deserve it b/c they made it ghey. and yet, it still seems that no one understands where im coming from. The good people who like imports, like me, like them clean (no stickers, body kits, neon, wings, etc.) good sound fitting exhaust, and they try and make as much power as possible from a tiny little engine. That's why RX-7s are so badass, but thats another topic.

BTW: you say the WRX is ugly. Last time i checked, all muscle cars were big ass heavy boats, hence the reason they needed the engines to be so big and powerful

Although im sure many of you have already known this, but the many cars you believe to be imports or euros are owned by american corporations. like your infamous jaguar now owned by ford and the awsome Mercedes-Benz bought out by chrysler, and the same thing goes with mazda, built by ford now. Besides most of the japanes cars of today are built right here like nissan, they have a plant in nashville that produces the majority of their line-up, the same thing with honda and toyota. So my point is somewhere along the line all auto makers have, and will have, some american influence.

yes, you are exactly right. your name describes you perfectly. you can have an rx7 with over 60000 miles and have no engine problems if you keep it stock and dont abuse it. the only reason you have to have engine work done to them is b/c of the turbo. but i'll gladly take that slight disadvantage any day instead of having a car that came with an 8 track. Rotary engines are great for wrapping up to 9grand and producing shitloads of HP in the mega-high RPM range, but they are the lamest fucking things around down low. And if ya didn't know.....low end wins races. I'll take a 700hp Vette with 3 times the torque of your rotary crap, and rape your RX-7 allll damn day. Does no one understand power curves? It's not all what your motor can max out at when it is nearly detonating at 9000 rpm, it has to produce power across the whole spectrum.......go sit back down on the short-bus.

omg, all that have posted since my last post, except vex, don't understand where im coming from. it's a daily driver, it is a tiny tiny tiny engine with HUGE potential and it cost less than a new vette. I know domestics can support more power N/A b/c they have bigger engines. N/A, imports would get stomped on. If you wanna know why im defending the RX7 and turbos so much, look at that Hayabusa video in that other thread. Thats what an RX7 can do on the highway since it's already around 3000RPM or so, the turbo doesnt have to spool up much. Once the snail kicks in, the car fucking flys.

Stock for stock, the ls1 vettes will pull it from a highway roll, newer ones harder than the old. Rpms don't mean jack shit.....It's a matter of the power you make, period. Rx7's trap around low 100s stock, the vettes mid to high, meaning from a roll, they will get walked by a few mph.....Just because a car revs high doesn't mean it has topend speed lol.......

I've taken a rx7 here and there before with the sy but they were all from a stop. I don't think they could hang from a roll unless modded well.. same goes for a vette or fbody.. i'd have to say the rx7 stock for stock would see tail lights.. don't get me wrong I like the later model rx7s but they are just maintence whores from what i've seen where as the lt1 or ls1 motors can take a beating.

My "reality" dream car is a Lexus IS300 b/c if i wanted to mod it, i could easily do so. It doesn't matter though b/c i'll have a bike by mid July at the very latest. For me, making my car go fast at this point in my life isn't a priority, that's what the bike is for.

well man. i actually said this same thing in another thread, but i´m gonna repeat myself. i´m not a ricer, first of all, but i think light-weight compensates for a lot. the deal of course is, that a light-weight, small engine car could probably not kick your cars ass (whatever it is, but i believe it´s fast) when the speeds go past 120 km/h. but up to that (read: traffic-light-race) i think i could build a car that would measure up quite nicely.
i rode a opel corse (probably used another name in other countries, but it´s the small crappy opel...) with a 1.8 litre engine, with a 16valve mod, and that´s pretty much it on the power side (new cam, bigger intake, better breathing done. crappy small mods, anyway).
then again, backseat stripped away, and other small mods done on the weight side, oh, and the suspension was heavily modified. this made it quite quick in slow speeds, and many faster cars were sorely humiliated. (u can always say u "stopped trying" when the speed goes past 120 km/h )
oh, and also, no mods on the looks. spoilers or shit. just the 1.3 L badge in the back...
there. i hope u see my point, cause i´m quite sure i see yours. i´m not saying i could beat you, cause i probably won´t, but i think i could put u up for a challenge with that money!

kiss my ass. if you would know any actual facts aboot this car, and pull your head out of your ass, you would know, that the skyline is one of the fastest cars (in stock, that is) that have been pushed out on the markets.

in the year -99 (i´m not sure, but give or take 1-2 years...) the skyline was the fastest car to go around the nürnburgring-track. competing with cars like the 911, 550 Maranello and the like... this from a car that pushes 280 hp (officially...) in stock. what does this say aboot the chassi or the handling of the car?! that it´s a womens car? i think not!

sure, i can admit the fact that the skyline is one of the most "forgiving" cars on the markets today, it´s still fast as fuck if u can drive it. and u don´t even have to be a good driver to keep it at it´s limits. this does seriously NOT make it a women´s car! it´s a toy for men. and it´s fast as fuck, if u can use it´s potential.

oh, and keep in mind, that the stock engine in the skyline can take punishment well over 600 hp, with just small mods to it´s actual "stock" parts.

no mods int mind, this car is one of the greatest engineering master-pieces in the world. it looks like a slow slugger, but can beat the living shit out of cars way more powerful than itself!

na man, but i just saw your sig! if the pickup you mentioned, is the cyclone in your sig, that is fast! in my top five of sleepers i would love to own, the cyclone has a steady place among the best! that, and the typhoon... oh, and the skyline...

oh, and aboot the racing, no we don´t race here in Finland. quite a lot because of the fact, that our emission-standards here are too strict to allow any wild mods of the car. (aboot +20% of original hp... simplified, but still, u see my point)
this means, that the only really fast cars aren´t that many... there are loopholes though... oh, and another point that i have brought up in other threads, is that you actually (in my oppinion) can compensate for power with low weight...
an example i have brought up earlier, is for instance the Peugeot 205, with the Mi16 machine. this is 148 hp, stock, in a car that can weigh 800 kg... small mods will make this car a lot faster. this of course in slow speeds only. when speeds rise, the power will not be sufficient. but up to ~120km/h i think i could put up a fight to some cars... not cyclone fast, but still...

Thanks for the props on the syclone not most people have any clue to what they are which makes them the best sleepr i've seen yet but also gets on your nerves after a while.. do to idiot people thinking it's an old s10 with ground effects and a sqeeky belt.

Im no stranger to the Peugeot's ive seen a bunch of them in person due to a few fellow syclone/typhoon owners that work on them as a toy.. then can haul with the $$$ invested.

ok i'm probbably the biggist advocate for muscle cars and domestics on this forum, however i find most your arguments to be invalid. first off, as much as i love muscle cars. i have to admit that todays cars have FAR superior handling and exceliration. second, you can turn out more horse power in a 4 banger now adays then you could ever in an 8 back in the day. 3rd, and finalle, i feel much safer in my Sunfire then in my old Buick GSX. i mean if you look at the honda or pontiac it has crumple zones, airbags, traction control. the buick was all steel and befor i modded it had a stright steering columb that would have been likley to go through my chest.

now i may be waying my favoir over to thr icers, but i have to say one thing.

there is absalutly, positivly no substitute for that deep throated rumble that echos out of the tailpipe of a big block v8

ps. i love V8's but with today's prices on gas i am extreamly happy i have a 4 banger.

actually that is an example of the way it should be done... but stupid rich kids find that sticker power is the best bang for there buck... it's not his fault that he thinks your an asshole with a big paint can sized muffler just kiling your totally stock 1.8 liter power by reducing back pressure... which is why you catch soo much shit about being a "ricer"... oh and i wouldn't pay $500 for that nissian .. well maybe i'd turn around and sell it to an import moe.. but anyway it's an ugly ass car and they always have been..

Lettuce (homegrown if we have it), Grated carot (homegrown if we have it), Grapes (red, preferably), Tomato (homegrown if we have it), Cucumber (homegrown if we have it), maybe some spring onions (homegrown if we have it), and a bit of oil. Adding blocks of cheese is quite nice too.

And yea, we grow a load of homegrown stuff.
