Creative Zen Micro 5 Gig

Post by Giraffe }{unter »

Anyone got one, what are your oppinions on the following.

Link > Creative Zen Micro
  • Battery Life
  • Sound quality
  • Bugs
  • ease of use while exercizing
One of my friends is offering me his new Zen Micro for half price $100.00 He got it a few weeks ago and doesn't use it so I was about to buy a new MP3 Player when He made me the offer.

I have been dinking with it this morning and asside from the AOL likn on my desktop (after installing the software) I am quite pleased.

Battery Life: only messed with it for a week, but it seemed as good or slightly better than the 4G 20GB ipod i also purchased.

Sound Quality: from the headphone output with the SAME headphones, it's slightly better than the ipod. going line out on both though, sounds about the same. nod still goes to Creative.

Bugs: didn't encounter any.

Ease of use while excersizing: quite intuitive, although the ipod is more so. had no issues getting thru menus and such while jogging or hiking.

for that price you'd be a gonad for not picking it up.

So why did you purchase this one next to your iPod?

I'd have seriously considered getting a Zen of some sort if the things weren't so fucking ugly. But I'm fickle so I got the prettier one for more money :icon14:

i agree. aesthetically it's not as appealing as the ipod.

I still disagree with that. Dunno why, but I think the Zen Touch looks better than the iPod. Never was a fan of their styling. Of course, in terms of the Zen Micro, yeah, iPod looks better.

Thanks for the info...

He's letting me try it out tonight, I'm 99.9% sure I'm taking it.

why 4:3? spring for a psp and get 16:9, an mp3 player, and a handheld gaming device all in one.
