This is an interesting topic, but unfortunately people will hijack it with their boring spam.

His speech is much different than it was before he became President. During speeches when he was running in 1999 he had a few slip ups but never as bad as now. If you watch videos of him speaking on his airplane or bus, he's quick and has a lot of quips.

Now in public and private he stumbles over easy words and often says the completely wrong thing.

Some people thrive off of stress while others don't. If I have a million things I have to keep track of at the same time my mind just shuts off and I start acting demented. Perhaps good old George was better able to focus on what he was doing 10 years ago.

I'm not saying he's mind is not aging but you can't rule out external circumstances fully, either.
yea i've too been kind of thinking about maybe a new sig but sort of haven't come to quite a decision yet

when did he quit drinking cold turkey.

Could be that he is reliant on alcohol to loosen up his tongue.

Could be the born again christian stuff that fucked with his head.

could be the fact that he is more of a puppet now, and isn't being as creative and original as before.

could be the cumulative effects of all his years of drug abuse.

could be a disease causing mental decline.

i think you're on to something here. Bush has more backside drivers than any man in history: Rove, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney. His presidential life is like one of those teen road trips with Seth Green and Ashton Kutcher only tens of thousands are killed and no one lays the prom queen at the end.
