Anyone here work graveyard shift?

I work a nightshift 5 to 8 days a week, at my craptastic job :P 10pm-7am, with an hour break (which I have to clock out for) and two paid 15 minute breaks.

Well I just woke up, its 20:26. I think I'll keep this up during the weekend since there is no point in resetting my body clock again because I'm working the whole next week 23:00-7:00. Oh well, gotta find something to do at night.

I used to work from 12:30 - 9:00pm. Not quite graveyard, but everybody but maybe 5 people in a 250 person department were gone by 5:30-6:00. It wasn't too bad, I usually had my iPod and could just sit there doing my work and not be interrupted, unlike now. FFS, I work with a bunch of noobs.

spent a couple summers doing the overnight shift. it was great, almost no customers.

I did some night shifts at my old job...it was ridicilous. Brought my X-Box, shitloads of DVD and sleeping bag. Worked for a callcenter where no one called.

i would actually prefer to be doing a night shift in an environment where i could just turn on my discman and work until end of shift.

plus, my nighttimes are usually wasted since i'm suffering through some killer insomnia lately -- sleeping ~6am - 12pm would suit me just fine, the only problem being that i have school 9am - 3pm on weekdays

nah, night shifts fucking suck

even when your day(s) off come round its a right bitch to get back to normal sleeping habits again, then you have to re adjust your sleeping habits again when you go back to work

then you have the amount of noise in the day VS the night

and then you got your social life, in which case turns non exitant because all your mates are in there daytime jobs when your off and down the pub when your in work
