Ok, since you're hell bent on the fact that my car is, and I quote "Fucking Lame", please supply me with 30,000 U.S.D. so I can purchase the car I really want. If that's not acceptable, then please shut the fuck up and stop whining.
Back on topic, How do you remove the spring from a thermostat? This could be a temporary fix for my overheating.
Dude, just remove the Themostat altogether!!!
Well, after I made that post I read up on a few things. Some sites say if I would remove the thermostat, the engine would become too cold or cool, making it unable to run properly.
Naw, it will be ok, I ran one car that I had for years without one and it ran fine.
I had the same problem, it ran too hot with a thermostat installed.
I think it has a pin hole in one of the headgaskets.
If the car still runs too hot without a thermostat then either there is something wrong with the radiator (plugged up) or there may be a blown headgasket.
Oh btw, if you end up replacing the Thermostat stick in it a pot of boiling water, if it opens up then it's a good one. If it don't then take it back and get a new one.
It's better to check it in the kitchen than in the car.

Cannot give you an exact temperature, but most manufacturers put a mark on both sides of the needle in "normal temp" position. The mark is susally hard to see. For examply both my wife's car and mine the back of the gauges have a matted black finish, there are 2 tiny shiny black dots on either side of the temp needle where is should sit once the car is warmed up. These dots can only be viewed at an angle...
