Back to the future

Post by Uaintseenme »

I just recently re-watched the back to the future series, one thing boggles my mind:

in part 3 at the beginning they recover the delorean from a cave that 'doc' had hidden there in 1885. Now, when Marty travels back to the 1800s to rescue the Doc, shouldn't there have been two Deloreans? or would removing the 2nd delorean from the cave also remove the current Delorean that Marty traveled back in? Because if they would've just removed the Delorean that had been hidden in the cave, they wouldn't have had to fix the fuel line or anything. Right?

I have the trilogy on DVD, they rock :icon14:

As for what you say... Hmmmmm... There should of been, yes. The car should still of been there, making the whole point of the film rather pointless (to get marty back, because the fuel line was shot with an arrow).

There was no need to even fix the car, as it was already there to begin with.

But maybe doc noticed this and thats how he made the train? ;)

The mind boggles :p

It's time travel. Leave logic at the door.

Maybe doc secretly wanted to keep the Delorean, so he fooled Marty into destroying the one he came back in....but why did he go through the trouble to create a time machine train, a car would've been much safer, cause if he were to go back in time using the train at the wrong time SMASH like one of those fucked up math problems where two trains hit each other.

Well... it could be because if he moved it or did anything with it he could have ran into trouble causing the delorean not to be there for marty in 1955 or whatever the date was causing marty to not be able to go back into the future causing a time paradox of such proportion that the entire galaxy could be completely destroyed!

Idiot.

also, even if they did get the one without the broken fuel line it still wouldnt run :dork: thats the whole problem, remember. the fuelline was easily fixed. it was getting the fuel that was the problem :P

Oh yea... I was assuming the gas tank of the hidden delorean in the 1800s had a little bit of fuel in it.

Marty and Doc just jumped in and out of separate distinct parallel time-streams, so in fact they never really time-travelled at all in the strict sense.

One of Robert Zemeckis' descendents called Gort Zemykkys came from the future and told me so.

I time travel every day. Like, when I leave work, it's like 9 hours later then when I got there. I haven't worked out going backwards yet, although some days it feels that I'm getting very close.

I know I've seen my clock go backwards at least once.

actually if you want to get philosophical one could argue that time doesn't in fact exist and is merely a construct invented by humanity to understand the phenomena of process.
