And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command, we shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine patris, et fili, et spiritus sancti.
maybe not, it was not my intent to be technically accurate, just to make a point that ever since version 4 I haven't really seen any functional progression and certainly nothing to improve the usability of the player (since, quite frankly, it lacks a huge amount of options that you would expect from a high profile media player like QuickTime).
In short: QuickTime sucks and Apple does nothing to improve it.

Wow...that assessment is the biggest load of crap i've read. QT has improved dramatically and Apple has added hundreds of new features since previous versions. It may feel a little bloated at times, but I expect those are bugs Apple is currently working to iron out. QT7 is the most functional and diverse version to date, and works damn well.Eraser wrote:maybe not, it was not my intent to be technically accurate, just to make a point that ever since version 4 I haven't really seen any functional progression and certainly nothing to improve the usability of the player (since, quite frankly, it lacks a huge amount of options that you would expect from a high profile media player like QuickTime).

It's updated quite frequently... So my guess is that it will soon... Until then I'll stick to avoiding the use of the QT link on video downloads.dmmh wrote:yes, and this plays the HD vids right?
