PSP folks (dzjepp, etc)

Post by tnf »

I know this will sound Kracus-ish, but can one of give me the simple details on what I need to do to get some other shit installed on my PSP (for example a web browser, email client, etc.) I'll do some looking on my own across the web, but want to cover my bases in case my own efforts prove futile, and would rather get a direct answer here rather than searching around too long.

Also, can the PSP play .wmv files, or .mov files, or only the mpeg stuff?

It only does .mp4, this program will easily let you convert and transfer your movies directly to the psp: http://www.pspvideo9.com/

So far, I'm not sure there is a web-browser/email app you can download. There is a simple browser that comes with wipeout pure, but other than that, I'm looking forward to someone releasing a nice homebrew browser and the other net apps, but it hasn't happened yet.

The other homebrew apps like chess, emulators and the like are pretty straightforward. There are some ok magazines you can grab from http://www.pspmagazines.com Preformatted for best viewing on a psp. Not really full-blown mags, but maybe something will fit your fancy.

Not sure, but there are several content sites such as this one: http://www.pspwebbrowser.com/

They have some java type stuff you can use on the psp, I think there is some kind of chat program. (I haven't gotten my psp connected to the net yet so I can't tell you much about these different apps).
