Because they spent lots of money so people could enjoy listening to it by buying it from them.

That's what people like yourself and Smith should be doing, but your attitude and positions are out of synchronization completely. You should be stealing gas, and Chinese made electronics... Not American made music.

Well when they realise that they charge stupid prices, and decide to reduce it to around £5/$10 a CD then I'll buy it

Who barely get anything from album sales anyway. Most of their money comes from touring, the tickets and merchandise sold.
