UK Van Rental

Post by Foo »

Anyone here rented a van in the UK before? I'm stumped for the best provider. Probably looking at Sixt as they're the easiest to find, but I've never rented before and I'm gonna get stung because I'm 22 years old.

Any advices? better still... anyone know a white van man that wants to earn some monies?

Moving house is gonna suck this year. Move out on the 30th this month and in on the 3rd next month. Meaning I have to stash all my shit for several days. Gonna ship it to my parents' place, at 50m a trip and it'll have to be a couple of trips. MYARGGG

I'm looking at a medium sized transit already.

Anything bigger and minimum age moves to 23.

Sadly, it'll not just be my kit (TV, PC, weights, bench, fridge, shelving) but it'll be my housemates also, inevitably (Drum kit, guitars, sewing machine (yes, really), PC, TV).

1 van trip would be nice, but unlikely :(

Good question. Should by rights be more than that since I'm driving 400 miles and storing all his stuff at my 'rents place for 3 days.

"I am a man, a monkey man! A beast with a mind and fists! And I will not be subdued again. Not by Vulva, not by anyone!"

So.. yeah. You're right. I will have words about this van rental before spending much cash on it.
