Post by Canidae »

Wouldn't it be fun to have a voice channel night?
We could have a few topics chosen each week before hand and with a little moderation have some fun.
Or just a free for all, with separate channels set up for groups to gather.
I have a lot of fun on voice chats, mostly other game related, and I assume some of you do to so it would be a good way to keep this community from falling apart as we are pulled in different directions.

whats the point.. we have a forum..

secondly, you realize that its just going to be someone making noises randomly, they get kicked, next person does it.. you get pissed, and leave..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Making noises??? WTF?

I'm talking about discussions and maybe laughing at people's accents etc.
I'm talking about the added dimension of hearing people speak not just carefully edited text in a forum. Big difference.

You want to make noises go to some kiddie voice chat.
That's not what I'm talking about

i usually use Skype, but i'd certainly be in for this if the time is right

ed: also keeping in mind there are is typically about two or three people on #quake3world -- at the moment, it's raw and myself. raw doesn't often disconnect, and HReaper (the frenchie) usually joins. there is no conversation.

We did that once. A bunch of us from Q3W were using Yahoo! I think, and were badmouthing some other people in a chat room. Eventually it got to the point where raw flamed a guy for about 5 straight minutes (thus preventing anyone else from speaking). The other guy turned on a country song and left the mic next to his speakers. :dork:

I always liked using during games. It's funny hearing other people's accents - especially the Welshies. :p

I would feel pretty geeky getting on just to chat with people I've never met in person, but I'd give it a shot I suppose.

Sounds fun, I'd be in.
I'll have to get my mic out of the closet though. I never use it for games (though I might start again if I do end up buying BF2)

Heh. I bet mine would get a few laughs.

I doubt that I have a working mic though.
