They walk funny, but are hella soft and friendly. Every one that I passed lowered it's head expecting to get it's nose rubbed.

Getting licked wasn't pleasant, but I am sure he meant well..

My guess is for the same reason snakes can rear their heads and "stand" on half their body?

Giraffes do not have a split on the lip, the nose is longer and thinner. The nostrals are also more defined. I see what you're getting at, but it's not that close..

Glad you enjoy it, that mofo had some seriously nasty green teeth it took about 15 shots to get him to shut his mouth :icon19:

There's a "safari" park near me that I take my daughter to every once in a while. You buy buckets of feed at the entrance and drive you car through the park. The have giraffes, water buffalo(which emit the most unholy stench on the fucking planet), ostriches, bison, and a couple rhinos. The rhinos and giraffes are in large pens, but all the other critters roam free. My car has a sunroof in it, and it's an interesting experience to have a llama or ostrich stick their head down through it and start eating from the bucket of feed. I had a llama chase my car one day, evidently he wasn't finished eating.
It's hilarious seeing all these spawn-of-satan-looking goats waiting in packs to mug unwary drivers for their feed.
The only bad thing is that they put their grubby hooves on your car and scratch the paint.
