I'd have sex with this monitor

Post by Cool Blue »

If only DVI were a bigger port. :(

700:1 contrast with a 8ms response time. And it's 19 inches.

The only monitor I get excited about is that 30" apple widescreen.

What's the difference between the 913N and the 913T? The input?

If I didn't already have a 19" flatscreen, I'd jump at that. Go for it.

It looks nice. But I want wider. This 24" widescreen is what I'm dreaming about =) Really wanted their 24" CRT monitor, but they don't sell those anymore (can get it cheap used though, but I want new), but now it's this. Not for gaming, but everything else. I see all my movies etc. on my PC, so on this widescreen movies will be a lot bigger than on the 19" 4:3 I have now =) And with a good soundcard, good headphones and amplifier and this monitor it will be awsome watching movies. Also have an ok stereo, but can't have so high volume at night =)

I was waiting for the same thing, but the 21" lcds are still too expensive and they dont' have the response times yet.

I'm tired of waiting. I already have a really nice NEC 17" with a 16ms response.

This new monitor should be quite an improvement. I'm REALLY stoked. I just love getting new computer shit. :)

The timing is good too, since I just got a new video card to help make all these hot new games look all purdy and fast.

Holy shit, at least on their 710 series:

# N: 12 ms, VGA only.
# V: 16 ms, VGA only.
# M: 25 ms (!), VGA, built-in microphone and speakers.
# T: 12 ms, DVI/VGA and pivot function.
# TM: 12 ms, DVI/VGA, pivot, built-in speakers and microphone.

Enough versions with the same damn product name? WTF?

So, it looks like you're right the N for the 913 is VGA only and the T is DVI/VGA.

Just thought I'd check the prices here, and it seems to be very rare in the US.

But here's the 193P: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6824001156

Meh, 25ms and a different panel type.

IMHO, any response time above 16ms is too high for gaming.

Response times aren't all measured the same & accurately though, so a low one doesn't mean you wont get hosting. Likewise, 25 doesn't mean you will get ghosting.

Don't ask me why, because I couldn't explain it, but it's true... :p

samsung has some crazy good new screens in the works... the samsung dude was @ work a few weeks ago showing off a new panel they are bringing to market.. fucking thing was about 1/4 the thickness of any flat panel i've ever seen, and the picture quality actually blew away the apple cinema panels.
it didn't have a model number yet... but it was mad sexy.
