heyeas

do any of you know if there is a handheld that can play mpgs off usb thumb media?

because for me it would be simpler than of mem stick or sd cards.

pocket pcs and palms don't have usb ports

you have to put them in a cradle and connect them to a PC with a USB cable though. You're still stuck with SD or CF cards.

well thats about what i know about it too.

i am hoping someone will know about some kit that im not aware of.

the reason i ask is cause i was cruising the iles at staples and seen sony micro vaults.

i grabbed one and its got hela fast transfer rate .

it can playback 4mbit mpg2 without chocking out at all :icon20:

sd cards cost next to fuckall. and you can pick up a tapwave zodiac cheaply as well (palm os, plays games/movies).

ive not had any expirence with sd cards at all.

but from what i can decern, they are 2mb a sec or so ey?

i guess thats maybe enough headroom for proper mpg1.

the sd seem a tad dated tho now to me :shrug:

the iriver looks like it could be fine.

its got a drive tho and i had a crazy notion i'd get a no moveing parts player.

yea that thing

i also had a link for a listing of all the mamory vid players comeing out.

it was from a china expo

this one player had a scart type s-video out :drool:
