Explain how to do that and you'll be my favorite person ever. I've got 2 * 512 connections in this house and don't know how to hook them up at a single line.

See if this person has a shared printer.
Then print something on his printer like, "Hello, this is one of your neighbours and I'm stealing your bandwidth."

Linux is your friend. I assume you have two routers, each with its own connection on. Stick two network cards in a linux machine, and that can bond the connection and pass it back out to a router where you could let everyone else in your house connect to the bonded 1mb line.
Am going to have to wait until next month to buy a few old desktop units in and run some Linux builds on them. Currently I've got 1 desktop 1 laptop, and the laptop's too touchy for a dual-boot. Desktop's being used for games/work atm too.
Problem with spare machines is eventually you have to get rid of the fuckers, though.
