Cremaster Cycle

Post by mjrpes »

Anyone heard of this? It's probably the most fucked up trailer I have seen for a 'movie', if this can be called a movie. Similar in wtf nature to 'The Cell', but times 10.

You can view it here:

http://www.cremaster.net/

There is some brief 'artistic' nudity in there, but in the same sort of context as you see here,

so if this is a problem I can delete the link.

makes a lot more sense if you think of it as:

Crem - Aster cycle

as opposed to

Cre - Master cycle.

btw the red haired dude is hot

"The title of the films refers to the muscle that raises and lowers the male reproductive system according to temperature, external stimulation, or fear. "

That's right up your alley of expertise, Julios :D

I was looking at some commentary. Here's a interesting one:

http://www.artnet.com/Magazine/features ... -11-02.asp

You get insights such as:

"Animated by homoerotic tension, the cremaster concept united penis, scrotum and anus into a powerful, if incomplete, alternative to the vagina."

I found this on IMDB:

"The tone of the video, however, is deceitful (for lack of a less harsh word), suggesting a story or plot that doesn't really exist, or is so buried in the visual splendor as to be insignificant. It could be seen as a puzzle, but, in Barney's own words (according to the DVD commentary of "The Order" segment of "3"), it is merely a series of illustrations of ideas that have already been well drawn out (ie. Freemason ritual"
