for the record, Zantac (ranitidine) is not a Proton Pump Inhibitor. It's a histamine H2-receptor antagonist.tnf wrote:Don't know what to tell you. If it's the shits and gas, try taking somethign like Phazyme for the gas and immodium for the shits. If the antacids (like tums) don't work, and the PPI's like zantac don't work either...not sure what it would be.

From what Duhard's posting it sounds like he's having an peptic ulcer, but I would have to know if the pain's before he's having food, or during, or after, etc.
Goto your general practitioner again, Duhy.

Oops..now we are even, because I remember when you called a beta 2 antagonist a beta 2 agonist.saturn wrote:for the record, Zantac (ranitidine) is not a Proton Pump Inhibitor. The pain seems to be worse before eating...when I'm hungry.saturn wrote:Though I'm a real MD, I will refrain from giving too much medical advice on an online forum. Mostly you lack information and observation clues to give proper advice.

But it seems to get worse once I start raping everyone at the local hoops town with my amazing flight skills.
That's probably an ulcer cause I googled a few things last night and it seems to fit the description. Though I looked at stcmach cancer and the symptoms were almost the same as a peptic ulcer's symptoms...hmm.
This could be the end of the total package

dude, you're young, so it's very improbable that you have gastric cancer. It's probably an ulcer, especially since you get pain before dinner. Just go to your GP.Duhard wrote:The pain seems to be worse before eating...when I'm hungry.saturn wrote:Though I'm a real MD, I will refrain from giving too much medical advice on an online forum. No, you admitted you were wrong - but not really wrong, just had used the wrong term (or classified something backwards...it was an agonist you called an antagonist or vice versa...) I can't remember which one it was, but I know you had it backwards. It was some thread where we were had a 'what would you do next' thing for various molecular problems.
