Now why are things like this and "BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION: FOR BLACKS ONLY, NO WHITES ALLOWED." okay, but if I made a movie called, "The life and times of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. starring Justin Timberlake" it'd be racist?

And before you say it; Yes, this movie really is racist. What excuse do they have for making a TV show with white characters into a movie with black characters other than sticking it to the white man, and also the greedy Hollywood execs cashing in on another black comedy? Wasn't there recently another movie like this where a main character who was supposed to be white wa... OH YEAH, DAREDEVIL. Sorry idiots, but Kingpin is definitely white. He always was.

And what other excuse is there for TV shows and movies to have black people only to go "DAYUUUUUUUUUM!!!" and "AWW DAS BOMB!", and the only times asian people are on TV is for the Chinatown episode of CSI, or to deliver food with a fake accent.

Apparently the thousands of movies with an all-white cast slipped you by, those slipperly little eels.

Martin Luther King was a real black person. Ralph Kramden is a fictional character and it really doesn't change who he is if he's white or black.

This is the weakest evidence of racism I've ever seen. You see, rep, making the Honeymooners into a black movie doesn't matter because the original race of the Honeymooners didn't matter. How many people can you think of who are emotionally invested in the color of the characters' skin in that show? I can think of one: rep.

So if we take all the people in the world who don't care about the skin color of a show that has nothing to do with skin color, and compare them to all the people who DO care about it... who is racist again?

And the "no one would ever tolerate a white actor replacing a black actor" is bullshit. Othello has been cast as white before. And that's a story where race actually DOES matter. If you remade Family Matters with a white cast, I wouldn't give it a second thought, and I can't imagine anyone else would.
