No, he said that he didn't have to stare at it to see the green dot. The instructions on the page imply that you have to give it a little bit of time to see the green ones, but bitwise was saying that they appeared immediately for him. He saw exactly what he was supposed to see.

You are supposed to focus carefully to see ALL the purple dots disappear. I have no problem doing this.

What I was saying is that at first I didn't even know there was an illusion going on because I instantly see the purple dot being replaced by a green dot and don't have to do this: "With good fixation, you should see a strong greenish colour whenever the violet patch has disappeared."

I see... so you instantly fix your gaze at one point on the screen and notice everything else disapear but don't bother focusing in on it. Right. Bullshit.

I don't care what all of you think you're all fucking morons as far as I can tell but what he's describing, and I DO understand fully what he's saying is complete horseshit.

He's saying he didn't even know it was supposed to be an illusion cause he instantly saw a purple dot being replaced by a green dot which at this point I'm ASSUMING he means for only a fraction of a second cause that's all you would see it for before the purple and green mesh together to make that grey.

I dunno about you, but if I was looking at a bunch of purple circles disapearing on a picture I'd probably look at it directly to see it. It's human nature. Unless of course I KNEW not to in which case his whole story would be different.

I just don't get why he feels the need to make something like this up.
