Right now I'm using the following method to record and convert demos of games:
Play the game, watch the replay. Record using Fraps (never once had a problem with Fraps so I bought the full version last weekend) and then convert using Windows Media Converter. Thing is it's always not that great quality. It's decent when using the DVD quality of course, but then i get a 500Mb file that just sits on my hdd...
My question is what is the best program/method or codec to use for good quality but low on filesize. I'm willing to buy another app if needed, just tired of converting down to VHS quality and low sound quality to be able to send to a friend.
Is this Windows converter any good? Works fine for me but at the time I was low on cash and it was the first free tool I found that was decent.
Cheers!

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
