What are you people on about? The guy just creates stuff out of LEGO, like every boy has done at least once in his life. There's no subliminal thougts to this or deeper meaning. It doesn't express any views on life or any of that bullshit.

I don't see how anyone would come to the idea of this person having asperger's syndrome. He just has, like Grudge said, a good eye for shape and geometry.

The fact that he makes anime models (including females) out of LEGO doesn't say a thing. He just like anime and LEGO and this is the end result, that's all. One person draws or paints anime characters, the other creates them as 3D model so they can be used in their favorite first person shooter and this guy builds them in LEGO.

I find it rather insulting towards this guy that people here start calling him a "nerd" and even imply he has asperger's syndrome. The guy just has a hobby. An innocent hobby which he enjoys doing and it keeps him off the street.

Appreciate his work. And if you're not interested in it, don't look at it. The guy could be just as disapproving of everyone's gaming addiction here as you people are of his interest in LEGO.

Finally, someone has the guts to lay it as it is. I don't understand what those other people were on to, either. It's LEGO, and that's that. Enjoy it or leave. And it's definitely clear to me, as it is to you, that the hidden vaginas are abstracted in order to draw us into the good eye he has for shape and geometry, just like we see in modern art and 3D modeling. And just like you, I also don't think that it's okay to label him as having asperger's as if it were an insult. Both you and I agree that asperger's is a condition that one has to accept, and focusing one's energy into LEGO is a great way to deal with it.

Personally, I stopped playing full time with LEGO when I was 19. I only play with then on the weekends now, and occasionally after my nap.

Video games are an obviously different matter. Contemporary culture has made it OK for adults to play video games, as long as there is blood, sex, and violence involved. People who engage in this type of video game obviously do not have Asperger's. However, if someone plays a game orr activity that doesn't revolve around blood, sex, or violence (like LEGO or a video game made by Nintendo), then there's a good chance that they are suffering from asperger's. Quite simple, really.

So because I'm having a good time playing Mario 64 DS and Super Monkey Ball there's a good chance I have asperger's? That's ridiculous.

Some adults build scale models, some build casemods, some paint, some play with ministeck, some make puzzles and some play with LEGO.

If there's one type of toy that I find very suitable for adults then it's LEGO, simply because it offers a intellectual challenge, unlike most "adult" videogames. And there were plenty of (adult) people from this forum interested in that first person LEGO building game. Do they all have asperger's?

Yes, yes it is rediculous. But sometime you have to look at yourself in the mirror and ask, "who am I?" It's so easy in this day and age to think we're someone else, to think that we're free from debilitating conditions like Asperger's. But at some point you're going ot have to face things as they are. When will that day come for you, Eraser? Look at reefsurfer. He has completely accepted Asperger's as part of who he is. One day, won't you do the same, and accept the reefsurfer in you?
