Does anyone here know their way around air rifles? I have a Beeman (I think) break-barrel that shoots at 450fps, so I'm looking for something more powerful but still cheap. I've found these two:
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=464
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=296
anyone suggest which one's better (not because of the price difference)?
Also, does anyone know a store or website where I could buy a 1000fps air rifle in Canada?
Air rifle question

even that 450fps one may need an fac, check into it.

Here, anything slower than 500fps is not considered a firearm. I bought my 450fps rifle at Canadian Tire, like I'd buy groceries.shadd_. wrote:1000fps? got an FAC.(gun licence)ToxicBug wrote:Does anyone here know their way around air rifles? What I want to do is to buy a 1000fps "illegal" rifle and ship it here. I doubt anyone cares, since its still an air rifle shooting 0.177 cal pellets, which can harm a squirrel at most.

i live in ontario. anyways i knew it was somewhere around 500f/ps for no fac.
1000f/ps rifle i assume would be more than capable of harming a squirrel. more like blow half the squirrels head off.

Well, my current rifle's pellets pass through an aluminum 341ml Coke can without moving it from a distance of 10 meters (I've only been shotting in my not so big back yard). I had a russian air rifle in Russia and I was shooting with cheap non-aerodynamic russian pellets (850 pellets for $1 CAD...) and the pellet broke the can in half like if you'd hit it with a stick. The pellet didn't pass through the second wall of the can though. I wonder what can I do with a 1000fps rifle.
