GTA3 PC slight graphics problem?

Post by o'dium »

Dunno about you guys?

Anyways, the game runs fine obviously but i kinda havea weird problem... Some things in the game, such as people (not cars) look pixelated. It looks like the people in the game have no filtering on them at all, where as everyting else, does? Its not because of lower res textures, because they would just appear blurey else.

It looks just like games used to do back in the old software days, big blocks with no filtering.

Its not stopping the game, just distracting from time to time because my guy is right in front of me :p

Picked GTA 3 up the other day for some old nostelga, was only a fiver. Runs flawlessly FPS wise at max detail. I remember this game taking a dump on my pc when i tried to play it a few years back, heh.

Anyways, odd little graphical problem...? Anybody else have this?

shit graphics quality about sums it up. i don't remember really what you're talking about, but i do remember revisiting it and thinking "fark, the quality is kinda lame" -- taxis felt like solid yellow blocks with windscreens and blurry black smudges on doors.

Nah, you know me, I pick out anything ;) But its not something like that, because i can live with it being "shit low quality graphics" because its all consistent. I only cant live with games when they are inconsistent.

Take GKY's Total Overdose, that "looks" low quality too, but i cna live with it because it all "looks the same low quality" ;)

Long story...

Anyways take a look at our hero here:

This is what he looks like on mine. NOTE ONLY PEOPLE LOOK LIKE THIS. The city, the cars, everything else, is filtered fine:

it's like the players and people aren't lighted for some reason?

i just remember it looking shit, nothing ever looks as good as the screenshots...

might be one of those annoying ATI-nVidia-other issues, where things look great on one, shit on another.
