I've not been excited about the distant release of a game since Q3. However, spotted a magazine today stating Rockstar (they of GTA fame) are to base their next game on 1979 cult classic 'The Warriors'.
So that's... classic dark gangland movie of the late 70s... in the GTA engine.
This is gonna be awesome. Sadly, upon getting home none of my housemates had ever seen the film. :icon33:

Time to sit back with a silky smooth game for a change, but we will see if it makes it out of downtown and on home to your PC.
Stay tuned boppers...

Hopefully it won't look like shit, as GTA games have a tendency of doing

there's also the threat of a tony scott remake, fingers crossed it's an empty one.
'the bag' is a really good sol yurick book if you read/liked 'the warriors'.

GTA games since #3 have all looked absolutely amazing, just not in the conventional way.
It's a natural tradeoff between size and fine detail. Only Far Cry has bettered it sofar.
