Should I take Cal III next semester?

Post by Guest »

As far as I know, what we do there are 3D integrals, more advanced series, the new coordinates things which draw fucked up shapes and some other shit. Technically, to get my Pure Science college diploma, I need to do 2 math courses, Cal 1 and Cal 2, which I've done and passed with a 70% and a 74% respectively. Cal III will be an optional course (we have to take 3 optional science courses, not necessarily math) and its highly recommended for people going into engineering in university. Thing is that I don't know what the fuck am I gonna do in university, so I might not need Cal III. I like math tho. So should I take it?

If you enjoy it, take it. One of the reasons I'm doing the double major is because the EE degree fulfilled most of it, so it's not much of a stretch to complete it. The other reason is that I like it.

Do you have any idea what you want to major in?

70% and 74% in calc 1 and 2 is horrible. I suggest skipping Cal 3.

Unless you're very dedicated, you will fail it.

You're asking fools on a message board what to take in school? Go ask some folks who've taken the class before, and see an advisor about it.

That's good advice.
In fact, you should never ask advice from the people here. :icon25:

There are many people on this bulletin board that have taken various upper level math classes. Myself included.

Yea, there is actually a pretty decent collection of math and science types here.

You don't sound like you grasped much of either.

this is true, not because you won't get good advice, but because some people will give you advice so bad, but will give it so well, you might just take it. and when you do that, all is lost. :tear:
