In real life...

It was my last day of school.
I passed my exams with flying colors, because I'm just a genius like that. :icon19:

I played someone in Chess at school.
Talk about fucking intense... :icon19:
I won a game, and lost two games. :icon19:

In cyber life...

I played Call of Duty, posted on some forums, played Ceasar III, and worked on a music piece I'm writing in Finale 2005.

Oh and...
I checked out the new galleries at TheHun dot com, scanned for spyware, scanned for adware, deleted my cookies, deleted my history, defragmented, installed Shanghai Street Racer, played it, hated it, uninstalled it, played more CoD, and I think that's all. :icon19:

What a day. :icon19:

Went to work, isolated some splenocytes, ate lunch, did the New York Times crossword, had a wonderfully depressing discussion with the PI about the cynical and deceptive world of research, plated the aforementioned cells in culture with some drugs and a mitogen, placed them in an incubator, filled out a time-off request, watched some Top Gear, headed home, almost got hit by a blind driver, cleaned the house, made dinner, played San Andreas, went running, showered, called the girlfriend, and now it's off to bed. Pretty damn boring.

Tomorrow it's all about reorganizing data, contacting my advisor and choosing labs for rotations, registering for classes, signing up for an insurance plan, contacting an outfitter for a canoe trip, and finally some painting. The fun never ends. :icon8:

Got up at 12:00, read some of a magazine, went to a meeting to plan an animation festival in June, went out to eat with some friends, and I've been working on the festival DVD ever since.

Having a part time job and no classes rocks :p

Ok guys this is edge of your seat type shit:

Woke up at 9 am, got ready for o-chem at 10 am. I like to take an hour to make sure I look really fabulous for the day. :icon14:

Ate lunch and talked with friends around 12, hung outside in the fucking beautiful weather and smoked until 2, at which point I went and applied for a positions at the college of veternary medicine. (They'll be in touch with me, fyi I'll post more about my possible employment later in this thread as more news arrives) so anyway, then I went and got a smoothie... wait, that was after lunch but before hanging outside and smoking.

So yeah, then I go to our coffee shop and hang out with friends for a while while leaving my notes open so I can still pretend to learn. Then I remember that I was supposed to eat lunch today with a different friend of mine, and she just shows up and wants to eat like I promised, the filthy whore, so I go and watch her eat and talk for a bit. Then I head back to the coffee shop, go outside and hang out with different friends, and then go inside to hang out with different friends, and then head back outside. (to hang out with friends)

Now, at around 5:45, some friends and I had this formal dinner thing to go set up by APASU, they had Perry Shen (from better luck tommorow) talk about racism and type casting for roles of asian americans in movies and society. That went until 8:30, and it was pretty great so good show guys oh and at 9 I went to the gym to teach the Mixed Martial Arts club, and that was pretty cool tonight because a friend of mine in the club who looks mexican but really isn't had his cousin come in and he's a 30 year old who owns his own gym and has a fight team and sets up exhibitions and also he's a muay thai and vale tudo fighter and had leukemia but beat that and he has 20 inch biceps so today wasn't too bad

Ok, I got up at around 7, had a shower and some breakfast with the gf. Then I took the subway to work - I spend 3 days a week doing consulting work for a former employer (they fired their entire dev department, including me, about a year ago, and now they have contracted me and a handful of other former employees at 5 times the old rate to clean up their mess, ggz). We had some lunch at a really bad chinese joint by the old artschool (I guess they lost 90% of their customers when the artschool moved to a new location, and seem to be heading downhill fast), then worked some more.

Took the subway home, had some dinner with the girlfriend (Hungarian gulash) and went up to the attic to get my ancient Agfa scanner and connect it to my computer because my gf wanted to scan some old photos for a friend of hers. So after plugging it in I find out that there are no XP drivers for it (it's plugged into the parallell port, I got it before USB was even invented), but I managed to find a guide to using the drivers for another scanner and hacking the registry, making it work despite it not having the proper drivers.

I had tickets for Episode III, so at 9 we went to the cinema (a 10 minute walk). Got some popcorn and sat down at the theater, but after about half an hour into the movie, the ligths are turned on and the movie is stopped and some guy goes on stage to explain that there's a water leak above in the ceiling, making water pour down in the back corner of the cinema. That would explain the weird dripping noises everyone's been hearing. So they pass out free gift certificates to everyone as compensation for the disturbance, and then start rolling the movie again.

By the time the movie was over it was almost midnight, so all that was left was to take a walk home and go straight to bed.
