I picked up an ATI X700 Pro (PCIX16) for $200 to hold me over until I pay off my system. I'm assuming that by then I can sell this card on ebay and get the next round of NV cards.

It runs pretty well. I can't completely max out Doom 3 but it can handle any other game just fine.

I know someone with that case. He has a P4 3.0GHZ and a X800 XT PE. His temps are fine.

I'm with Amidy...I would have either gone 64 or waited. (I'm fact there are times when I wish I had gotten the suspension upgrade for the eclipse instead of my 64 setup.)

Going from a Sempron to a XP was not a bad choice. The 32bit XP's are getting really cheap now, price vs performance it wasnt a bad upgrade. Upgrading to a 64bit would have forced him to buy a new motherboard. "A Sempron 2800+ is slower than an Athlon XP 2600+ 333. To make the comparison, you have to watch the internal clock, the external clock and the L2 memory cache size. "

I have that same video card only I got the OC version. Nice little LED's inside of the fans. The copper heat-sink makes the thing weigh a ton.

I had the card for a week or 2 and upgraded my XP 2600+ to a 3200 64bit and didn't notice a huge increase. No matter what you put that card in, you'll be happy im sure.

Edit: weigh... not 'way'

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.
