Shouldn't it read "licenced by id" and not "a game by id"?
It kins seems harsh to make people think id had a big role in this. The only reason it looks like it will be good is because id were not the ones that made it....
Quake is id's franchise. It's their game. They're just letting Raven develop it. If Raven had made a game with their own IP using the Doom3 engine it would have said "licenced by id".

Just seems a bit harsh is all seeing as Raven are doing all the legwork. But I see your point.
The bit with the mech looks really bad. Dunno why it was chosen for the shorter video.
That thing beside it is supposed to be exploding but it just kinda disappears, with an insubstantial puff of smoke. And the Mech seems poorly animated.
Other than that it all looks good.
Just a shame they haven't defined their own style more clearly, to differentiate it from Doom 3.
What fundamentally fucked the Doom3 engine is that id didn't realise that outine is more important for recognition than pretty much everything else, so you can cover the models in as much bumpmapping as you like, it'll still look ridiculous because the outline is mde up of 3 polys.
