Great film in all, much better than the other prequels. Lots of lightsaber duels, constant action, and ms. portman is still as hot as ever. Still, the acting wasn't perfect (the emporer in particular is quite teeth-grittingly bad at times), and it was pretty predictable from start to finish (duh). But yeh, well worth the wait.

The cheesyness was toned down, but not so much it was far too serious and over acted. The CGI was much much better (bar a few dodgy scenes) and the general feel of the film was much darker than ep1 and 2 which made the whole experiance much better.

I was expecting more of ep1 and ep2 and got much much more, far surpassing my expectations. I'd recommend this film to anyone. It's easily on par with and if not better than Return of the Jedi which i actually think was totally ruined by the fucking E-woks, who dispite popular opinion i thought were annoying little fuckers.

My only grudge is it could have had more Wookie battles in and introduced Chewbacca a little more, but i have a soft spot for Wookies, seeing as i resemble one and I could happily watched two and a half hours of none stop furry wookie action.

Go and see it :icon14:
Did you see it at the UGC?

but yes, fucking awesome movie, mate is even seeing it again today
nah, i saw it in Hartlepool Vue

hmmm, i was thinking more of the 1st (out of the older ones) i know i said 'the 1st lot' but tbh i cant remember much of the empire strikes back and return of the jedi, but even though it was a very very good film i still felt it was missing something

it might be becasue i prefer the way they did shit in the 80's as opposed to CG but i dunno

well, the E-Woks totally ruined Return of the Jedi for me.. they were easily as annoying as JAr Jar Binks.

No fucking way, it was hardcore. I was dissapointed the Wookies didn't make more of an appearance.

Yoda was really awesome in 4 5 and 6, just because he was a puppet.

I bet if you watch 4 5 and 6 now you will understand them alot better. I think they are really good, and have seen them countless times but probably once in the alst 5 years

There were no original first 3.
Hence why they are making (or made) them now :icon26:

ooooo, i remember being told that the 1st 3 were made, just didnt know wether they were manga/puppet or whatnot, thought these 3 (1,2 and 3) were remakes of them :)

my mistake :)

maybe you could clear these things ive also heard then

remake of 4,5 and 6 ? surely not

and is he making a number 7 ?

there's rumour bout there being 7 8 and 9, which will eventually lead onto 1 and keep the whole rebel / sith balance in a continuous perpetual battle.
