Re: Valve have officially lost the sodding plot
lol, that sucks for the poor son of a bitch that put his heart and soul into this game. You know he's just proud as punch about the release and to hear the groan of that crowd must have crushed him. Probably some dude that lived in his mothers basement before he landed that job. First real accomplishment. Poor bastard

Re: Valve have officially lost the sodding plot
i can't believe no one at valve has the same passion for the HL franchise as valve's own fans
they have a flat organisational structure so HL3 would happen if enough people were into it but clearly they're not

The expectation on the quality for Half Life 3 is so high that it would never be as good as people want it to be. Don't get me wrong, if they made it, it would obviously make money, but it would be so underwhelming it would taint the series (probably). That's just my idea anyways.seremtan wrote:i can't believe no one at valve has the same passion for the HL franchise as valve's own fans

Well, then they shouldn't have let the hype grow so large by delaying it indefinitely. If they had gone ahead and made it and released it a few years after HL2, then the hype wouldn't have become what it is today and the final result would have benefited...

I hear you. I just think it wont ever be released now, at least not until Gabe's dead.xer0s wrote:Well, then they shouldn't have let the hype grow so large by delaying it indefinitely. They're waiting for VR tech that can do it justice.
