I'm still sick of ww2 from when they ran it into the ground. At least the newer games have jetpacks and vaguely interesting things

Hmmmm I thought that might be the reaction of quite a few of you. After playing Black Ops 3, I think this will be mega.

It'd be nice if they humanized the Germans a bit. But I imagine they'll just be inept fodder spewing vox pops for the player to just mow down. HOORAH MURICA

A German perspective from 1939-1942 would be pretty badass, especially if Rommel's tank battles were involved.

I bet the developers thought Saving Private Ryan and Fury were documentaries and based the entire game off their premises.

they could have done it from the perspective of the French Resistance, black American soldiers, partisans, or Norwegian commandos, but they needed to claw back the squillions they spent making the game so fuck those guys, here's the usual protagonists

Mafia II + III did that and made for quite a cool backdrop. Just a shame the 3rd one was devoid of any creativity.

I did not know that, but I just liked the thought of a really old version of COD where it takes ages to reload and you are more likely to die of cholera than getting shot :D
